Sharon Ruth Sickles

Sharon Ruth Sickles, age 76, of Early passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Memorial Service for Sharon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Marcus Nettleton officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Sharon was born to Charles and Grace (Jestis) Phegley on September 4, 1942, in Decatur, Illinois. She enjoyed fishing with her daughter and grandkids when they were younger. Sharon loved to socialize and play Bingo. Her family will most remember and cherish her for her love of her three "C's": cats, children, and the Chicago Cubs.

Sharon is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Jake Porter and wife Kessa of Goldthwaite, Jessica Toney and wife Amanda of Odessa; 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Colton, and Haley; stepdaughter, Dixie Sickles; sister, Betty Hill of Decatur, IL; and brother, Charles Phegley of Decatur, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Phegley; 2 daughters, Jeri Lynn Jewell and Lisa Haley; brother, Dean Phegley; and sister, Norma Campbell.
