Victor
Hernandez
May 6, 1952 — Sep 27, 2026
Brownwood
Victor “Bear” Hernandez, 74, of Brownwood, Texas, passed on to his heavenly home on September 27, 2026. He was born on May 6, 1952, to Victor P. Hernandez and Merejilda B. Hernandez, in Brady, Texas.
Victor is survived by his son, Tré Hernandez and Melanie of Brownwood, Texas, and their children, Adalynn, Olivia, Alaina, and Victor Ares; son, Timothy Palacio and Courtney of Irving, Texas, and their children, Brantley, Grayson, Ayden, and Enzleigh; his brother, David Hernandez of Brady, Texas; his sisters, Maria Hernandez of Brady, Texas, and Delia Dela Rosa and Jesse of Coleman, Texas, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor P. and Merejilda B. Hernandez, his infant brother, Victor P. Hernandez, Jr. and sister, Gloria Mize.
Victor was a tall, easy-going man with a gentle soul and kind heart. He was a loyal man’s man, a hard worker, a good provider and never needed much fuss. He spent 40 years working with the Kohler Company in Brownwood, Texas, retiring in May 2017.
In his younger adult years, Victor enjoyed playing the electric and bass guitars and keyboards, performing with bands and working on his red 1972 Mach 1.
He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns play football, but as much as he enjoyed music, cars, and all the things that kept his hands and mind busy, the greatest part of Victor’s life was always his family. Fatherhood was one of the roles he cherished most, and he was a loving dad to both Tré and Timothy.
He adored his children and grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters. It was with them that many of his happiest and most fun memories were made. Whether it was a big family occasion, an ordinary day together, or simply being around the people he loved, his heart was full.
Victor leaves behind a family and dear friends who loved him deeply and countless memories that will continue to be shared, smiled about, and remembered for years to come. He was never a man who needed a lot of words. He simply loved his family, worked hard, provided for the people he loved, and treasured the life he was given.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm with a Rosary starting at 4:00pm. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Hernandez will be on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the St. Mary's Queen of Peace of Brownwood at 10:00 am, following to Greenleaf Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
