Vicky Joann
Greenwood
Sep 30, 1952 — Aug 27, 2026
Vicky Joann Greenwood 73 of San Saba, Texas passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 30, 1952, in the quaint town of San Saba, Texas, to Howard Brown and Virginia Patton. Her life was a testament to the power of love, hard work and resilience.
Vicky spent many years as a caregiver and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), roles in which she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her unwavering compassion and dedication. Her career was much more than a job; it was a calling that she fulfilled with grace and empathy.
Outside of her professional life, Vicky found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed fishing, finding peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family. She cherished holidays, barbecues, and car rides. She particularly enjoyed visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Barbara, and their children Jason and Justin, who she cherished. These moments were not just pastimes but the threads that wove the rich tapestry of her family life.
Vicky was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Howard Wayne Brown, and her granddaughter Tayler Berkley.
Her enduring legacy lives on through her children, Gary and Vera Taylor, Lisa Greenwood, Brandy Meador, and Wayne Greenwood, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Matthew, Johnny, Joshua, Clayton, Lindsey, Macey, Christian, Connor, Kasey, Casen, and Scarlett. Also bonus daughter Nichole and bonus son GT.
In memory of Vicky, the family wishes to extend a heartfelt message of gratitude to the dedicated staff at San Saba Nursing and Rehabilitation, whose support and care were invaluable during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Vicky's honor.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Vicky's life at a later date for her family and close friends to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the time they shared with such a wonderful woman. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to a life lived with love and purpose.
Arrangements are entrusted to Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
