Tanya Portie

Tanya Portie, 67, of San Saba, TX. passed away at her home surrounded by family on May 27, 2026. A visitation for Tanya will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at The Father's House in San Saba, TX. a funeral service will follow and begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Brand. Interment will take place at Wallace Creek Cemetery after the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

Born on February 17, 1959, in Odessa, Texas, Tanya was the daughter of Wayne Brown and Vinnie and Jerry Hanson. She later graduated from high school in Daingerfield, Texas. Tanya was known for her kind heart, devotion to her family, and the warmth she shared with those around her. She especially enjoyed spending time with family during holidays and gatherings, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Her presence brought laughter, strength, and comfort to many, and she will be deeply missed by all.

A faithful member of The Father's House Church for many years, Tanya found great joy in serving others. She was always willing to help wherever needed and took pride in being part of church functions and activities. Her caring heart and willingness to serve touched many lives and reflected the faith she carried throughout her life.

Tanya shared a special bond with her cousins, whom she loved dearly. Some of her happiest times were spent visiting, laughing and making memories with them. She was also blessed with a wonderful group of friends who enjoyed traveling together over the years. Tanya looked forward to those trips and treasured the friendship, fun, and adventures they shared.

Tanya is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Brown; her mother Vinnie Hanson; her stepfather, Jerry Hanson, and a brother Eugene Adams.

She is survived by her husband, Don Portie of San Saba Tx.; her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Russell Hardy of Bangs Tx.; her son's Josh Yates and Ryan Yarbrough both of San Saba; her grandchildren, Jasper Beene, Jayton Beene, and Justin Beene, all of Bangs; her sister's Rhonda Hall of Round Rock, Texas, and Rhonda Bargtman of Clovis, New Mexico; her brother's Phillip Brown of San Saba, Texas, and Glen Payne of Hobbs, New Mexico; her sister-in-law, Trudy Adams of Dripping Springs, Texas; as well as many beloved cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends.

Though Tanya's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the friendships she cherished, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
