Mary Evelyn Johnston age 92, passed away on Sunday, October 30,2022 in Gatesville, Texas.  Mary was born June 8, 1930in Archer City, Texas to James Odis and Syrena B. (McDonald) Lindsey.  She lived her childhood in San Saba, Texas during WW II, the family moved to Richmond, CA,  In the 1960's she moved to Leesburg, FL where she worked as a legal secretary until she retired.  In 1999, she moved back to Texas, first living in Temple and then moving to Marble Falls.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy and husband Joe H. Ellis Jr. of San Saba, Texas, step granddaughter Stephanie Mills and husband Chase Mills of Fort Worth, Texas, step grandson Joe H Ellis III of San Saba, Texas;great granddaughter Lylah Mills, great grandson Ellis Mills of Fort Worth, Texas, and cousin Sherry Dismuke Ruddick of San Saba, Texas.
