Marcelo Andres Jimenez

Marcelo Andres Jimenez age 67, of San Saba, Texas passed away on July 24, 2020 at San Saba Nursing and Rehabilitation.  Marcelo was born on January 16, 1953 in San Saba, Texas to Leopoldo Ramos Jimenez and Augustina Coronado.  Marcelo, Andrew as he was known to many, exceeded on his cross country team in High School. Many remember the time that he was gaining on the front runner who turned the arrows and Andrew ended up in Cherokee!  He had the fire department and everyone looking for him!  On May 1, 1971 he married Janie Jimenez; together they had three daughters and one son.  Andrew was a migrant worker and could be seen shearing sheep, working in the vineyards, picking cotton, and harvesting pecans.  He also had many other seasonal jobs.  In the evenings or at family gatherings Andrew could be seen telling jokes, playing the guitar or playing accordion.  No matter what he was doing he always brought laughter and smiles to everyone around him.

Marcelo is survived by his loving mother Augustina Coronado Jimenez; three daughters; Cecilia Bessent and husband Samuel; Marci Moreno, and Jessica Saucedo and husband Jaime; Juanita (Janie) Jimenez loving mother of his children; sisters; Augustina Huron, Lupe Flores, Mary Sanchez and husband Paul, Alice Jimenez, Leonila (Nan) Rodriguez and husband Celes, and Rebecca Jimenez; brothers; Richard Jimenez and wife Ester, Domingo Jimenez and wife Sally, Modesto and wife Sylvia, Luis Jimenez and Lupe Trujilio, Leopoldo Jimenez III and wife Yolanda, Arthur Jimenez and wife Rosario; thirteen grandchildren: Marisela Zapata and fiancee Reginald Gossett, Emiliano Zapata and wife Lauren, Julian, Ernesto Adan, Matthew, David, Izaah, Elias ,Tori, Cooper, Jalen, Jessi, Janie; two great-grandchildren; Jaden and Hailey; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.  He was preceded in death by his father Leopoldo Ramos Jimenez Jr.; one son Marcelo Andres Jimenez Jr.; one grandson Zachary Donavan Huron.
