Obituary

Jack Benjamin Harrell

Jack Benjamin Harrell was born on November 16, 1963 in Temple, Texas.  He came home to live in Zabcikville, Texas with his parents John Woodson and Julia Beth Harrell.  He was followed by a brother Steve and then Brent.  The family later relocated to Blanket and then to San Saba where he graduated from High School.  He then attended and graduated from Tarleton State University in Fall of 1986 with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science. He always loved to nurture plants and watch their growth and turned it into life's profession.  He was working at Complete Landsculpture of Dallas at the time of his death. Ben passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Ben was very talented but nothing made him more proud than his two sons, Riley and Jace.  He loved his boys and took a great interest in their activities and made it a point to always have time for them.  He loved sports and most especially football.  There was never a high school playoff game too far away for him to attend and knew the stats of most of the teams playing.  He was very active until a football game came on and then he was watching it with family and friends.  He loved family reunions and the big Harrell Thanksgiving gathering.

Surviving Ben are his sons, Riley Charles Harrell and girlfriend Rhagen Breitkreutz, and Jace Benjamin Harrell and his wife Callie Ann.  He leaves behind his mom Julia Harrell, brothers Stephen Harrell and wife Diann, Brent Woodson Harrell and his wife Leslie and  Kenneth Grooms. He had a great relationship with his nephews Robert Harrell and his wife Oriana,  John Michael  Harrell and Stephen Harrell, and his niece Meagan Schwab and husband Dusty as well as great nephews Carter and Hudson Schwab and great niece Caroline Harrell.   He also leaves his fiancée Danielle Levesque.  He was predeceased by his dad Woodson Harrell and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Harrell and Mr and Mrs. Arthur Whitley.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on December 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m, at Blaylock Funeral Home with burial following the service at China Creek Cemetery.

Ben was cherished by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.  We were blessed with the time we had with him.
