Gabrielle Jade
Perry
Nov 12, 1993 — Jul 7, 2023
Gabrielle Jade Perry
Gabrielle Jade Perry, age 29, of Arlington, Texas went to her Heavenly home on Friday,
July 7, 2023. Gabrielle was born on November 12, 1993, in Austin, Texas. At a young age,
she was welcomed into Wayland and Mary Ann Perry's family in Cherokee, Texas where
she attended Cherokee school. After graduating from Cherokee High School, Gabrielle
received a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University.
Gabrielle, otherwise known as 'Gabe' by her family and friends in Cherokee, then made
her home in Arlington, Texas. Not only did her address change, but her name changed
as well. Her new friends now referred to her as 'Jade.' Here in Arlington, her faith was
an essential part of her life at First Baptist Church. There she did Bible studies and
volunteered in many capacities including working at Mission Arlington, volunteering at
Tarrant County Food Bank as well as volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. One of Gabe's
favorite things to do was to serve at the Special Olympics cheering on her residents from
Rock House Group Homes. Gabe always had a heart for helping those in need which was
exhibited in her career choice of being an occupational therapist. Her plan was to return
to college to earn her master's degree in occupational therapy and transition into her
doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Gabe enjoyed swimming, traveling, skiing, rock climbing, watching movies, and loved
reality TV shows. One of her favorite things to do was to come home to Cherokee and
spend time with family. During those special times, she could be found playing with her
nieces and nephews, visiting and attending church with her parents and siblings, or just
sitting around laughing and playing board games with the whole family.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her father, Wayland Perry. Brothers and
sisters: Sara Perry and Michael Champion; Josh Perry, Michael Dovi, Briana Dovi, Lance
Perry and Danni Kuder; Clay and Dawnya Perry; and her brother-in-law, Brandon Shanklin.
Her nieces and nephews: Skylar Perry, Maycie Shanklin, Tatum Shanklin, Kyson Shanklin,
Walker Shanklin, Savannah Perry, Billy Perry, Baylor and family, Caylyn Perry and Kollman
Perry.
Gabe was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Perry; two sisters, Christein Dovi
and Patience Shanklin.
Gabrielle Jade Perry's address has also changed.
She has now reached her forever destination. She now resides in her Heavenly home.
Blessed with eternal life are those who trust in Christ.
