Fred R.
Netherton, III
Sep 29, 1960 — Aug 21, 2026
Fred Netherton III, a lifelong resident of Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21st, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, faith, and compassion.
Fred was the beloved son of the late Fred Netherton Jr. and Wanda June Netherton. He was part of a loving family and cherished the relationships he shared with his family throughout his life.
For more than 40 years, Fred devoted his life to serving others as a funeral director. His work was far more than a profession—it was a calling. He had the privilege of walking alongside countless families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. With compassion, dignity, and genuine care, Fred helped families navigate loss and honor the lives of those they loved. His years of service left an enduring mark on the Brownwood community and on the many families he served.
Above all else, Fred’s greatest passion was his faith in Jesus Christ. His relationship with Jesus was the foundation of his life, and he was never ashamed to share his faith with others. He sought to live his life in a way that reflected God’s love, extending kindness, compassion, and grace to those around him. His faith brought him comfort, guided his service to others, and gave him the hope that he would one day be reunited with his Savior.
He leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his many years of professional service. The lives he touched, the families he helped, the friendships he treasured, and the faith he shared will continue to be part of his lasting legacy.
Fred’s earthly life may have come to an end, but for a man whose heart belonged to Jesus, death is not the end. His family finds comfort in knowing that Fred is now home with his Lord and Savior.
