David McReynolds
It is with great sadness to share that our brother, David McReynolds, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, after a long battle with COPD. David was born on September 12, 1955, in Shreveport, Louisiana, the youngest of five brothers and eventually a younger sister.
The bond each of us shared individually with our brother David, words can hardly describe, filled with laughter, goofy times along with deep meaningful talks and endless support. His love for family was large. Memories to last a lifetime.
David served in the US Air Force and later went on to work in nuclear power plants. He was not one to sit at a desk but preferred to work with his hands. He was passionate about people being happy and accepting people for who they are. Laid back by nature, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who did not like him. David had a sense of humor that was out of this world.
Though not a church goer, David remained steadfast in his Catholic faith and held fast that there is something much better waiting for us after this life. Brother, we will see you again one day. Until then rest easy and know you are loved and missed ever so much.
David is survived by his wife, Dawn McReynolds, his sons Tony Ailstock and wife Jessica and children, Arik Ailstock and wife Jessica and children; DJ White and wife Sara and daughter; daughter Carol McLaughlin and daughters; his brothers Johnny McReynolds and wife Kathy, Teddy McReynolds and wife Diane, Bob McReynolds and wife Maggie, Jimmy McReynolds and partner Beth and his sister Janie Good; nieces and nephews Heather, John, Ted, Angela, Ryan, Scott, Justin, Eric and David.
David is preceded in death by his grandparents and parents, Theodore McReynolds and Virginia Spataro McReynolds and niece Katherine (KJ) McReynolds.
A graveside service will take place March 26, 2025 at 2:15 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
