Brooke Lee Hudson, 64, of Early, passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born on May 14, 1961, in Brownwood to Jerry Hudson and Johnleen Rainey Hudson.

Brooke worked for the Fort Worth Western Railroad (FWWR) for 16 years, from 2009 until his retirement in 2025. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1979. He loved fishing and camping with friends, especially his cousin and best friend, Chris Schell.

Brooke will be remembered as a man who would give the shirt off his back, never expecting anything in return. He was deeply loved by all, and his absence is greatly felt. After recovering quickly from heart surgery just fourteen months ago, he was later diagnosed with sinus cancer. He is now at rest, free from pain.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Hudson Maldonado; his father, Jerry Hudson; his grandparents, Arthur and Tylene Hudson and John and Kathleen Rainey; his cousin, Sheldon Schell; and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Johnleen Hudson; his nephew, Joshua Maldonado and his children, Kingston and Ivory; step-grandchildren, Paisley and Ramsey; his aunt, Marilyn Cullins and her husband, Steven; and numerous cousins.

Family and friends will honor Brooke on May 16, 2026, with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood.
