Brian Shawn
Gilley
Jun 17, 1983 — Aug 27, 2022
Brian Shawn Gilley, age 39, of Beaumont, Texas gained his heavenly wings and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Brian was born on June 17, 1983 in Brownwood, Texas along with his twin sister, Katie Gilley. He was a loving son, brother, father and uncle. Brian was the type of person to think of others before he thought of himself. When he was little, he was very ill and running a high fever and when ask how he felt, he only ask how his twin sister was. His Aunt Kathy told a story of how she had admired his T-Shirt he was wearing and when she told him she liked it, he took it off and gave it to her, so when you say he was a man that would give you the shirt off his back, and it was very true. Brian faced many trials and tribulations in his life time and never became bitter but faced them through his faith in Jesus Christ.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Psalm 91:1-2
Brian is survived by his children; one son, Tyler Gilley and wife Dorothy one daughter, Hailey Gilley, mother; Marsha Davis and father, Hoyt Gilley, two brothers; Wayne Gilley and wife Lacey, and James Gilley and wife Elizabeth, sister; Katie Gilley, nephews, Mason and Michael Gilley, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brian's passing has left a hole in our hearts and he will be deeply missed, but we know we will see him again.
"BECAUSE THE LORD is my SHEPPARD, I have everything I need!
He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He restores my failing health. He helps me do what honors him the most.
Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.
Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home."
