Barbara Golson Kemp passed away on March 11, 2025, in Brownwood, Tx. She was born July 13, 1935, in Coleman, Tx to Paul and Mary Golson.
She is survived by her three sons and their families: Joe and Tanya Kemp of Cross Plains, Scott and Terri Kemp of Comanche, and Tim & Kim Kemp of Tolar, Texas, three grandsons: Tyler, Garret, Justin Kemp and four great-grandchildren.
Barbara grew up in Burkett, Texas. She graduated from Coleman High School, University of Texas in Austin, and later earned a master's degree in education. She raised her family, taught Elementary and Middle School and retired as Elementary School Principal in Irving. Barbara spent her retirement years in Brownwood, Texas.
Barbara Kemp was a devoted school teacher and principal. She truly loved the children she taught and was instrumental in their success as adults. She was a perfect example of poise, manners and proper etiquette.
She loved flowers.
Now she lives where the Blue Bonnets always bloom...
